About Us

History

The story of EGO begins with realizing the profound challenges affecting Mukono District.

The story of EGO begins with realizing the profound challenges affecting Mukono District. Our founders witnessed firsthand the hardships of education access, human rights violations, disease, and poverty.

Over the past years, many families have been overwhelmed by the loss of loved ones, leaving behind widows, orphans, and vulnerable children who face immense difficulty in accessing education, quality medical care, and proper protection. These local support systems are overwhelmed.

We Intervene Where Help is Needed Most.

Realizing that individual efforts were often hindered by economic and social challenges, the members of EGO came together. Our constitution establishes EGO as a non-governmental, non-sectarian, and non-partisan Community Based Organization (CBO) serving Mukono District and Uganda at large.
